Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack, to lead diverse technology projects and mentor a team of developers with experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems. You will collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower millions of customers.

You’ll work with JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python and Go, plus Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree is required
At least 6 years of software engineering experience
At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Masters degree preferred for higher seniority
9+ years experience in at least one of JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python or Go
4+ years of experience with one or more cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
4+ years experience in open source frameworks
1+ years of people management experience
2+ years of Agile practices experience
Experience with interactive AI tooling is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers
Mentor other engineering team members and participate in code evaluation
Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions
Work with a range of languages and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container tools
