The Lead Field Engineer at MEC is responsible for supporting planning, execution, and delivery of complex electrical construction projects, acting as the technical liaison between engineering, project management, subcontractors, craft supervision, and clients to ensure electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements.

Travel is 100% based on turnaround schedules; candidates will travel extensively.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or related field.
• 5+ years of electrical construction or field engineering experience.
• Experience on industrial, power, or large-scale electrical projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret electrical drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Support installation of power distribution, substations, switchgear, transformers, controls.
• Coordinate RFIs, field changes, and constructability reviews.
• Track quantities, production, and project progress.
• Mentor and develop Field Engineers and Coordinators.
• Provide technical guidance to field personnel and craft supervision.
• Foster collaboration between engineering, construction, safety, and quality teams.
