Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior/Lead Security Engineer for the Secure AI team to assess and strengthen the security of AI tooling at scale. You will partner with stakeholders to balance security and agility, and communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

The role requires 5+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Lead) in security, with experience in AI security, threat modeling, and developing automated defenses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a security role (Senior).
• 8+ years for Lead level.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) and agentic systems.
• Familiarity with AI security attack surfaces (prompt injection, exfiltration).
• Related technical degree required.

Responsibilities

• Lead security assessments of AI tooling, architecture reviews, code reviews, and pen tests.
• Provide remediation guidance and security requirements to teams and vendors.
• Model threats and design mitigations balancing security with functionality.
• Develop automated tooling to identify and solve security problems at scale.
• Collaborate with engineering to drive secure development lifecycle.
• Communicate security standards with business partners.
