Job summary

Cyient Limited is seeking a seasoned professional to drive model-based manufacturing and inspection initiatives in East Hartford, CT. This role partners with manufacturing sites to prepare equipment for MB-DMI and works with SMEs to evaluate solutions.

The ideal candidate leads cross-functional teams, ensures integration across PLM, MES, and ERP, and pursues automation and AI-driven ROI opportunities across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years relevant experience in design, manufacturing or quality with model-based digital transformation.
• Proven change management and core process leadership skills.
• Experience with PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter) and CAD, BOMs, and lifecycle management.

Job description

• Supports OEMs transition to Model-Based Manufacturing & Inspection (MB-DMI)


• Works with manufacturing sites to identify, assess, and prepare production equipment for model-based processes


• Collaborates with MB-DMI teams and SMEs to evaluate solutions

Ensures systems are configured to support 3D model-driven workflows, including:

• CNC programming


• Tooling and work instruction development


• Inspection programming & First Article Inspection


• Process capability analysis and reporting


• Physics-based modeling and MRB activities


• Support digital transformation and deployment across manufacturing sites

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 5-10 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.


• Proven change management and core process leadership skills.


• 7+ years in Design, Manufacturing, and/or Quality supporting model-based digital transformation.


• Experience with PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter) and CAD, BOMs, and lifecycle management.


• Strong background in complex manufacturing environments.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Proficiency in MS Teams, JIRA, Smartsheet, or similar tools.


• Demonstrated ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cameo.


• Familiarity with MES (Solumina), PLM (Teamcenter), and ERP (SAP) systems.


• Experience with Model-Based Definition, Manufacturing, and Inspection (MBD/MBM/MBI).


• Strong ability to influence without authority and drive accountability.
