Pickett, an ESP Associates company, seeks a Lead Engineer to provide senior technical leadership on high voltage transmission design projects. You will guide line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, and procurement support.

Qualified candidates bring a PE, 10+ years in transmission line engineering, and strong leadership. A hybrid role with a client-focused, safety-conscious team awaits in Huntersville, NC.

Qualifications

• PE certification required.
• 10+ years of transmission line engineering experience.
• Extensive experience using PLS-CADD.
• Familiar with NESC, IEEE, ASCE and ACI.
• Experience liaising with stakeholders in multiple disciplines.
• Strong leadership, engineering judgement, and procurement awareness.
• Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of engineers, technicians and drafters.
• Communicate expectations, goals and project vision.
• Manage performance and delegate project work.
• Motivate, coach and mentor team members.
• Oversee projects for quality and on‑time delivery.
• Review and approve engineering design submittals.
• Develop lasting client relationships and proposals.
