Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts seeks a Lead Engineer IT Software Development & Maintenance to lead a team of developers and support staff in Atlanta. You will guide technical direction, triage complex issues, and coach the team daily.

You will own the Reltio MDM platform and drive AI-enabled data quality initiatives. The role requires strong experience across Reltio data modeling, AWS services, AI-driven transformations, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Typically, 10+ years of progressive software engineering and data platform work.
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams across programs.
Strong expertise in Reltio data modeling: Entities, Relationships, Reference Data, Crosswalks, Hierarchies.
Experience designing and implementing Match & Merge, Survivorship, Identity Resolution, and Data Quality solutions.
Experience integrating Reltio with enterprise apps via REST APIs, Event Streaming, and AWS/GCP/Azure.
Ability to collaborate with business, architecture, engineering, privacy, governance, and vendor teams.
Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, Event Bridge).
Monitoring/observability using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk; event-driven patterns with Kafka, Event Bridge, SNS, SQS.
Proficiency in Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Lambda; experience with Generative AI in enterprise solutions.
Strong data architecture, MDM, Customer 360, data governance; Agile/DevOps/SRE environments; problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Provide technical solutions for complex software problems and document systems.
Own and manage the Reltio MDM platform for availability, performance, and data quality.
Define and optimize match, merge, identity resolution, and survivorship strategies.
Lead AI-driven data quality initiatives, data enrichment, and digital transformation programs.
Manage vendor relationships and leverage Reltio capabilities (RIH, Data Loader, AI features).
Lead AWS cloud architecture initiatives (EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch).
Monitor system health; perform tests, upgrades and cross-team collaboration; code reviews.
Provide status reports to software engineering management and stakeholders.
