Job Description

Develop new mathematical and statistical models and concepts, including multivariate regression, hierarchical Bayes, random forests, decision trees, and nonparametric statistics, to solve critical and strategic business problems related to automotive product quality, design, engineering, service, marketing, sales, and forecasting. Determine the data types, structures, and sources needed to apply these models effectively. Analyze, cleanse, and organize data from internal Hadoop and external cloud environments using techniques such as fuzzy matching and data profiling. Apply technical knowledge to build comprehensive Analytical Data Sets and research industry solutions to benchmark model development options. Use computer-driven analysis tools like Mathematica, Python, R, and others to solve practical automotive problems. Design experiments and surveys to develop and implement predictive models, analyze outcomes, and derive actionable insights. Support business decisions through statistically sound data analyses and model averaging techniques. Draw conclusions and predictions from complex empirical data to inform best practices. Conduct knowledge transfer to IT and operations teams for model implementation in production.

Additional Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
• Four (4) years of experience as a Senior Data Scientist, Data Scientist, Statistician, or similar role.
• Four (4) years of experience with advanced analytics, AI techniques, machine learning, statistical methods, and data modeling tools such as Databricks, Azure, Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Cassandra, Alteryx, and Trifacta.
• One (1) year of experience with BI and reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, Excel, JMP, SAS, SPSS, and Cognos.
