JOB DESCRIPTION:

Apex is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Google Cloud Architect to lead and execute cloud transformation initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a strong focus on designing scalable architectures, managing end-to-end cloud migrations, and implementing DevOps best practices across diverse environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance GCP architectures tailored to business needs.
• Lead complex on-prem to GCP migration efforts, including discovery, planning, execution, and post-migration optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Cloud, Infrastructure, Data, AI, ADM and Security teams to align cloud solutions with SDO organizational goals.
• Integrate DevOps tools and methodologies for continuous integration and delivery pipelines within GCP.
• Provide hands-on guidance in infrastructure such as code (IaC), automation, and configuration management.
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs, performance, and reliability.
• Ensure best practices around security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven hands-on experience architecting and migrating workloads to Google Cloud.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE, and BigQuery.
• Practical experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Git, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and infrastructure automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security best practices.
• Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer) highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable mentoring teams and presenting technical solutions to leadership.
