We are seeking a Senior Lead Cloud Database Architect to join our team. You will work with an experienced professional services team to help customers migrate to and operate in the Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), with a primary focus on data and databases.

What You'll Do:

1. Collaborate closely with colleagues and customers to solve data challenges.
2. Assess and remediate sizing, performance, and configuration issues.
3. Plan and execute data migrations, either independently or as part of larger cloud migration efforts.
4. Modernize database platforms (e.g., MSSQL/Oracle to PostgreSQL/Aurora).
5. Design and implement data lakes and ETL pipelines.
6. Provide consulting guidance to customers and prospects, and assist colleagues with planning and writing Statements of Work.

Who You Are:

You're passionate about technology and the options the public cloud offers. You enjoy helping customers solve problems and proactively identify and remediate new issues. You also have the following:

Minimum Qualifications:

• A BA/BS Degree with 8 years of relevant experience in database administration and architecture, or a MS degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with 3 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• At least 3 years of relevant public cloud experience.
• Specialty/Intermediate level AWS and/or Azure cloud data certification (e.g., AWS Database Specialty, DP-100, DP-203, DP-300, DP-500).
• Expertise and hands-on experience with MS SQL Server and at least one additional platform such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or CosmosDB, both on-premises and in the cloud (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.).
• Hands-on experience using ETL tools for data integration into and out of databases and data warehouses/lakes.
• Intermediate experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (ARM, CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management models in on-premises (Active Directory), public cloud (AWS IAM, Azure AD), and in-schema.
• Experience running migration tools including backup/restore, log shipping/mirroring, Always On Availability Groups, AWS Database Migration Services, Schema Conversion Tool, Azure Migrate, Azure Data Migration Assistant, AWS Glue.

Preferred Experience:

• Professional/Expert level Cloud Architecture certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AZ-305).
• Experience with analytics or data warehousing platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, or Azure DataLake.
• Experience with AI/ML applications and pipelines.
• Industry knowledge in verticals such as Healthcare/HealthTech, Financial Services/FinTech, SaaS, or E-Commerce.

Compensation ranges from $144,900 to $241,500 annually, based on experience, location, and skills. Benefits include flexible paid time off, holidays, wellness hours, and other leave options.
