Job summary

Schwab Retirement Technologies (SRT) is seeking a Senior Lead Software Development Engineer to provide technical leadership, drive domain-driven design, and deliver scalable retirement applications. You will guide cross-functional teams, ensure security and quality, and optimize performance across multi-tier systems.

Your role emphasizes architectural guidance, strong coding skills in C#/.NET, and experience with REST APIs, OAuth, and SQL Server, while mentoring engineers and aligning with Agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 7+ years of related experience.
• Advanced .NET/.NET Core development experience.
• Strong C# coding skills and object-oriented design knowledge.
• Deep understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD).
• Solid experience with RESTful API development and SOLID principles.
• Proficiency in unit and integration testing.
• Experience with OAuth and OpenID Connect including scopes and tokens.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and SQL stored procedures.
• Experience with source control (GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with distributed multi-tier architectures and Agile methods.

Our team is seeking a Senior Lead Software Development Engineer with a passion for technology and strong interpersonal skills. What you have

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field with 7+ years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s related experience.




• Advanced .NET development skills, with applicable experience developing in .NET/.NET Core.




• Advanced coding experience in C#.




• Advanced knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD).




• Advanced knowledge of object-oriented design patterns.




• Professional experience with RESTful API development.




• Advanced knowledge of SOLID principals




• Advanced knowledge of effective Unit Testing, and Integration Testing




• Ability to set and lead application design patterns such as repository, unit-of-work, vertical slice, asynchronous programming




• Professional experience with OAuth and Open ID Connect including scopes, clients, claims, and tokens




• Professional experience with IIS and Windows Services




• Professional experience with relational databases (SQL Server is preferred)




• Professional experience with SQL and SQL Stored Procedures




• Professional experience with source code repositories tools, GitHub




• Professional experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing single-page UI applications and reusable components using Angular.

• Experience working in the Retirement or Financial Services industries.
