Job summary
Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers and Architects is seeking a full-time bridge (structures) engineer to support our bridge team in the South Jordan Office. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design projects and performing complex planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who enjoys being part of a team performing office and fieldwork.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering required.
- 7+ years of structural engineering design experience on bridges/transportation projects.
- Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience with plan development, analysis, and design calculations for highway/railroad structures.
- Familiarity with AASHTO and/or AREMA; proficiency with listed software.
Responsibilities
- Design and detailing bridge and transportation structures including reinforced concrete and steel.
- Lead structural design efforts and mentor entry‑level staff in production of construction drawings.
- Extract information from CAD drawings; prepare drawings, specifications, and materials for procurement and construction.
- Coordinate with multi‑discipline teams and communicate with clients and offices.
