Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking a Lead Technician for Bridgestone Retail Operations in the United States.

This role requires diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, leading a team to improve customer care, with a pay range of $29.10–$59.42 per hour and a flat-rate compensation structure. New teammates may receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus, with a $5,000 option for those holding ASE certifications or Hawaii automotive licensing.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver’s license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair and alignment/suspension.
• Experience with automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications (brake/hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, A/C, and computer systems).
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to non-mechanics.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid training.
• Assist and train technicians in technical activities.
• Obtain/maintain ASE certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within two years (fees paid by company).
