Senior Lead Analyst with experience in US Export Laws and Regulations

Innovative Computer Solutions Group, Inc

We are seeking a Senior Lead Analyst with extensive experience in US Export Laws and Regulations to join our team. The successful candidate will support a federal government agency's EXPORT CONTROLS GROUP (ECG), which is dedicated to leveraging scientific and technological resources to enhance national security.

The role involves ensuring compliance with federal laws, regulations, and guidelines related to export controls, including:

  • Export Administration Regulations (EAR) administered by the Department of Commerce
  • International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) administered by the Department of State
  • Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations administered by the Department of Treasury
  • Various multilateral regimes

Responsibilities include supporting the operation of a centralized export controls compliance program, conducting intra-departmental reviews of CFIUS cases, and ensuring adherence to agency policies and procedures.

The candidate will work closely with federal staff, including the ECG Manager, Export Technical Lead, and CAPM, providing technical expertise and programmatic assistance. All work will be reviewed and validated by federal personnel before dissemination, with final approvals resting with the federal staff.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience understanding, analyzing, and explaining the legal underpinnings of U.S. export laws and regulations in layman's terms.
  • Experience in leading teams or projects related to export compliance is preferred.
