Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX seeks a Sr Lead Software Engineer (AI, Data Cloud) to drive end‑to‑end ML platforms and AI tooling in Corporate Technology – Chief Technology Office. You will design, implement, and scale trusted, secure tech products with a focus on reliability and performance.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with data scientists and product teams, and advance enterprise‑grade AI capabilities across cloud platforms and pipelines.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems and platform services.
• Strong Python experience with API/SDK development and reviews.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and validation standards.
• Experience with Generative AI platforms, LLM orchestration, and model serving.

Responsibilities

• Hands‑on technical leader, contributes production code (Python) and owns end‑to‑end delivery.
• Leads architecture for components supporting ML workflows and data pipelines.
• Develops agentic AI capabilities with evaluation, monitoring, and production readiness.
• Builds reusable APIs/SDKs and reference implementations for platform adoption.
• Collaborates with data scientists and ML engineers to define requirements and deliver outcomes.
• Ensures platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency with SLOs and monitoring.
• Automates infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using IaC.
• Promotes enterprise‑level AI engineering practices and code quality standards.
• Produces architecture/design artifacts aligned with enterprise standards.
• Mentors engineers through coaching, reviews, and pairing.
• Contributes to communities of practice around new technologies.
