Job summary

Capital One is seeking an experienced AI/ML engineer to join our AI Foundations team in a senior capacity. You will partner with engineers, researchers, PMs and product managers to deliver AI-powered solutions that transform how associates work and how customers interact with Capital One.

You will design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components, including model training, inference, guardrails, evaluation, and governance, leveraging PyTorch, HuggingFace, VectorDBs and other Open

Qualifications

Bachelor's in CS/AI/EE/CE + ≥6 years AI/ML experience, or Master's with ≥4 years.
≥6 years programming in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
≥7 years deploying scalable AI on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or private cloud).
Experience designing, developing, integrating, and supporting complex AI systems.
Proven ability to lead and mentor an engineering team and influence stakeholders.
Experience with state-of-the-art AI techniques for training/inference optimization.

Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered products.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI tech like AWS Ultraclusters, HuggingFace, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, PyTorch.
Invent and apply LLM optimization techniques for production AI systems.
Contribute to long-term AI foundational systems roadmap.
