Job summary

Onterris in California seeks a Senior LDAR Field Technician to inspect facilities in the Oil and Gas industry, identify leaks, and document emissions. You will lead inspections, coordinate with team members, and maintain safety and compliance standards.

The role requires hands-on field work, strong communication, and the ability to travel to offshore or onshore sites as needed. A relevant technical degree and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Oil and Gas industry, preferably natural gas processing/transmission facility.
• Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office; Android OS familiarity.
• Experience leading a team; varies by position.
• Clear and precise communication.
• Valid driver's license.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related technical field preferred.
• Experience with hydrocarbon detection/LDAR, offshore, instrumentation or stack emission testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating facilities using maps and GPS.
• Perform and document field inspections, leading a team or operating independently safely and efficiently.
• Assist in safety meetings and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment as needed.
• Use detection and measurement technologies under supervision.
• Collect and record emission data.
• Prepare field reports as required.
