Job summary

WEI (Worldcom Exchange, Inc.) is seeking a Layer 3 DC Network Engineer to join our Network and Security team. You will design, implement, and manage data center, SD-WAN, and network-edge solutions for high availability and security across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities include configuring dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering with SD-WAN and Layer 3 routing.
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN vendors (e.g., Cisco Viptela, Aruba EdgeConnect, Fortinet).
• Experience with data center SDN solutions from leading vendors (e.g., Juniper Apstra, Cisco NDO/ACI/NDFC, Arista CloudVision).
• Strong understanding of public cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with VXLAN BGP EVPN and data center concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage data center, SD-WAN, and network-edge solutions for high availability and security.
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 3 routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DC/SD-WAN with on-prem and cloud.
• Monitor network performance and diagnose complex issues for optimal operation.
• Develop and maintain documentation for configurations and processes.
• Stay current with networking trends and participate in on-call rotations.
