The County of San Diego's Sheriff's Office is currently recruiting for the position of:
Senior Laundry Worker
The Senior Laundry Worker performs laundry work and supervises staff in the collection, washing, drying, sorting, and issuing of laundry items. The Senior Laundry Worker is responsible for supervising the work of subordinate Laundry Workers and incarcerated workers assigned to work in the laundry in Sheriff's Detention and Reentry facilities.
The successful candidate is one who has experience in an industrial setting and is familiar with sorting clothes, using laundry equipment to clean clothes, storing and issuing clothing and keeping a running inventory.

Minimum Qualifications:As part of the County of San Diego’s pre-employment process, prospective candidates will undergo a background check (including fingerprinting) and a pre-employment medical screening prior to beginning County employment. Additional types of background investigations may be conducted based on the job-related activities of the position. Current County employees may be excluded from this process.
Evaluation Process:Qualified applicants will be placed on a twelve (12) month employment list based on scores received during the evaluation of information contained in the employment and supplemental applications.
