Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in physics, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in laser applications and laser system integration.
• Hands-on experience integrating commercial laser systems into automated equipment.
• Strong understanding of laser-material interaction for brittle/transparent materials.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Integrate commercial laser sources into automated processing tools.
• Collaborate with laser and optics vendors to define system requirements.
• Architect laser subsystems including beam delivery, optics, motion coordination, and safety integration.
• Develop a deep understanding of laser–substrate material interactions.
• Define and optimize process windows for substrate marking and serialization.
• Laser-based separation and singulation; tune parameters for high yield with minimal damage.
• Drive end-to-end system optimization across laser performance, motion systems, and vision alignment.
• Identify and resolve system-level issues affecting throughput and quality.
• Act as laser SME within a multidisciplinary team; support integration, validation, and tool upgrades.
• Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of field issues related to laser processing.
