Halo Industries, Inc. is seeking a Senior System Integration Engineer - Test & Validation to lead integration, testing, and validation of laser-based wafer manufacturing systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with electromechanical hardware including lasers, motion stages, and control electronics to ensure systems meet specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will perform hands-on testing, troubleshoot across electrical, mechanical and optical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Optical, Electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in hardware test, validation, or system engineering in semiconductor, laser, robotics, or precision automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and drive corrective actions with design engineers.
• Proven experience documenting hardware validation from concept to system acceptance.
• Hands-on electromechanical experience including controls, sensors, power electronics, and optical assemblies.
• Experience creating ATPs, test procedures, and build instructions.
• Proficient with instrumentation and diagnostics tools (Oscilloscope, DMM, DAQ, interferometers, alignment cameras).

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware integration and validation of laser-based wafer systems.
• Develop and execute hardware test procedures from subsystem to system level.
• Perform hands-on testing and root-cause analysis across electrical, mechanical, optical and controls domains.
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure build quality and documentation.
• Design test setups and data acquisition to validate functionality.
• Analyze test data to identify improvements and trends.
• Contribute to automation tools for data collection (LabVIEW, Python).
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues.
• Support design readiness reviews with focus on testability and serviceability.
