Job summary

James Madison University is seeking an experienced part-time Landscape Worker to perform general landscape maintenance across campus. You will operate various landscape equipment and support event preparations on a weekday, year-round schedule with overtime for special events or inclement weather.

This is a part-time wage position up to ~29 hours/week, with a focus on hands-on landscaping tasks and safe operation of tools and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• General landscape maintenance including weed-eating, mowing, raking, weeding, sodding, trimming, edging, mulching, leaf disposal, irrigating, pruning, grading, snow and ice removal, and spraying.
• Perform trash cleanup and litter removal.
• Maintain parking lots and roads, patch potholes, and assist in preparing areas for events.
• Operate utility vehicles as needed.
