Job summary

HeartLand is seeking a Production Manager in the Pittsburgh area to lead field crews, oversee client jobs, and manage budgets. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and quality in landscape maintenance, with collaboration across crews, shop, and account teams.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of foreman-level landscaping experience; a related degree is preferred. A company vehicle and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in commercial landscaping at crew foreman level or higher.
• Degree in horticulture, turfgrass science, landscape technology, or related field preferred but not required.
• Spanish language ability preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field staff and manage client jobs to ensure crews deliver high-quality work profitably and efficiently.
• Follow company policies to maintain operations and meet safety standards.
• Utilize landscape maintenance knowledge, equipment, and labor/quality control to boost branch success.
• Supervise crew performance and control direct costs such as labor and materials.
• Monitor and maintain labor budgets and other costs to meet income from operations.
• Collaborate with Crew Leads and Account Managers to meet client expectations.
• Coordinate with Shop Manager and Account Manager to ensure equipment and materials are ready for jobs.
• Demonstrate ethics, integrity, and promote company culture and safety.
• Schedule new and existing work in Aspire to optimize routing for each crew.
• Review and approve daily crew time in Aspire.
• Provide accurate paperwork flow between field and office.
