We collaborate with developers, architects, and communities to design outdoor environments that enhance daily life—making it more intentional, connected, and human-centered.

We're a small, purpose-driven studio on the cusp of growth, seeking a like-minded designer to join us in shaping what's next.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Landscape Designer with 4+ years of experience to support our studio on a part-time, remote basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values thoughtful design, and is comfortable working independently.

Time Commitment:

10–20 hours per week, with flexibility based on project needs.

Compensation:

$35–$55/hour, based on experience and role fit.

Growth Potential:

As BLOCS grows, there is potential for this role to expand into a full-time position, offering increased responsibilities and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the design and development of landscape architecture projects from concept through construction documentation.
  • Produce high-quality drawings, renderings, and presentations using industry-standard software.
  • Assist in preparing planting plans, material selections, and construction details.
  • Participate in virtual meetings with the team and clients as needed.
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely.
  • Skilled with Construction Document level plans.
  • Familiarity with California native and drought-tolerant plants is a plus.
