Job summary

JT Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect for our Wisconsin offices (Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee).

You will design and document landscape projects, overseeing grading, drainage, planting design, and construction documentation across complex sites. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients, lead design efforts through all project phases, and apply sustainability concepts to produce visually engaging spaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
• 4+ years of professional experience across all phases of landscape architecture and construction
• Wisconsin PLA license or ability to obtain
• Strong design background with hand sketching and visualization skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and 3D modeling/rendering tools
• Thorough understanding of construction documentation, detailing, and material applications
• Excellent organization and communication, with coordination experience with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record

Responsibilities

• Develop thoughtful, well-resolved design solutions, evaluating multiple approaches to deliver cohesive, high-quality outcomes
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams while independently leading design efforts through all phases of project development
• Contribute to context-sensitive, theme-based designs that thoughtfully integrate sustainability, site constraints, and long-term performance
• Communicate design intent clearly through graphic, written, and verbal presentations
• Resolve design and technical challenges by balancing creativity with constructability and project requirements
• Prepare and refine construction documents and detailing, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and technical quality
