Job summary

Sherwood Design Engineers is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to lead design and delivery for complex projects in the southeastern United States. The role blends hands-on leadership with collaboration across civil, ecology, water systems, and architecture disciplines.

You will guide master planning through CD, CA, and construction, translating design intent into buildable, well-coordinated drawings while mentoring staff and maintaining schedule and budget discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.
• Registered Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) license required, or current state registration with ability to obtain Tennessee reciprocity within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Lead CD and CA for the project, translating design intent into buildable drawings.
• Provide technical oversight of landscape disciplines and interfaces.
• Lead construction administration including RFIs, submittals, field observations.
• Protect design quality while addressing field conditions and value-engineering.
• Coordinate with civil, architecture, and other disciplines.
• Lead QA/QC and issue resolution across milestones.
