Job summary

LCS PRODUCTION COMPANY INC is seeking a Senior Landman with over 20 years of experience to join our Abilene, Texas team. The role involves managing land and title work, negotiating mineral rights, and supervising staff in a small but aggressive independent oil company.

Relocation assistance will be discussed, and a generous salary is offered based on experience. The candidate must relocate to Abilene and oversee all aspects of company land operations in the principal’s absence.

Qualifications

• Must have 20+ years of experience in land work and oil & gas.
• Strong background in business and land management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Document production from PSA start to closing.
• Research land ownership records and title documents.
• Negotiate oil and gas leases and related agreements.
• Prepare and maintain leases, rights-of-way, and joint venture docs.
• Oversee title information gathering and internal title updates.
• Supervise contract personnel for lease acquisitions.
• Present reports on status of rights acquisition."
• Handle omissions or errors on leases or titles and correct them.
• Oversee an established land management team.
