Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive experience performing land use planning/land development activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in planning, landscape architecture, geography, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience interpreting and applying City and County Comprehensive Plans and Development Codes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; proficient with MS Office, MS Project, and Adobe.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple deadlines.
• Do what needs to be done mindset and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Research: perform timely and accurate property, zoning, and utility research.
• Application Preparation: prepare and submit land use applications (subdivisions, zone changes, CUPs, site reviews).
• Analysis: analyze complex issues affecting property, transportation, and utilities.
• Collaboration: coordinate with in‑house engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and permitting staff.
• Proposal Development: develop clear scopes of work for proposals.
• Client Interaction: coordinate with clients on project data and scheduling.
• Meeting Organization: set up and attend neighborhood meetings.
• Project Management: create and maintain project schedules and milestones.
• Relationship Building: maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and agencies.
• Travel: able to travel out of town occasionally.
