Job summary

CBS2 is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to lead survey and right-of-way efforts for municipal, county, and transportation projects. The role involves field data collection, plat development, legal descriptions, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

This full-time position is based out of any of CBS2's five locations and offers opportunities to lead survey efforts across a variety of regional projects while delivering high-quality, precise

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of land surveying experience.
• Wisconsin Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
• Proficient with GPS and total stations.
• Experience with right-of-way plats and maps.
• Proficient CAD (Civil 3D or MicroStation) and MS Office.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, plans, and regulations.
• Strong organizational skills with budgeting and scheduling.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead field survey operations using GPS, total stations, and other tools.
• Lead preparation of right-of-way plats and maps.
• Prepare legal descriptions and plat documents.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure accuracy and standards.
• Assist in cost estimates and scopes for survey work.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet schedules and budgets.
• Utilize CAD to review plats and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with state statutes and procedures.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
