Job summary

Your IT Recruiter is seeking an experienced Licensed Land Surveyor / Surveying Manager in Franklin, TN to lead surveying operations and teams. The role requires overseeing boundary, topographic, construction, and SUE surveys while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe work practices.

The position emphasizes project leadership, QA/QC across deliverables, budgeting, billing oversight, and active client engagement to support business development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 10+ years of professional surveying experience required.
• Active Tennessee Professional Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) license required.
• General understanding of Inroads, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local surveying regulations required.
• Experience with subsurface utility engineering (SUE) and utility locating preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct surveying operations and personnel.
• Manage field crews and oversee day-to-day surveying operations with QA/QC across deliverables.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets and oversee billing; maintain client relationships.
• Support business development and represent the company in client meetings.
• Provide leadership and performance management, including goal setting and coaching.
