Job summary

Abaci Consulting, Inc. in Grimes, Iowa, is seeking a full-time Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to oversee land survey, residential site plans, and subdivision platting projects in the Des Moines metro and Central Iowa.

You will supervise survey crews, prepare legal descriptions and bids, manage projects with minimal supervision, and maintain client relationships. Iowa PLS license and an Associate's degree in Land Surveying or related field are required, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must hold Iowa license as Professional Land Surveyor.
• Associate’s degree (or higher) in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering Technology/Math.
• Valid driver’s license and insured.

Responsibilities

• Establish plans to ensure efficiency and quality on preliminary and final land survey projects.
• Research of land records and deeds.
• Manage and assist survey crews conducting survey activities, including boundary surveys, plat of surveys, and rural subdivisions.
• Prepare legal descriptions.
• Prepare bids/proposals for land survey projects.
