Job summary

Kleinfelder in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a seasoned Surveyor to join our Veenstra & Kimm team. The candidate will perform field surveys, data collection, stakeouts, and assist in design support for municipal and utility projects.

Req: minimum 5 years of field experience, an Associate degree in surveying or CAD, proficiency in Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer, and the ability to read blueprints. Valid driver's license and outdoor work willingness required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field survey experience.
• Technical degree in surveying or CAD preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
• Knowledge of Iowa RTN GNSS systems helpful.
• Proficiency in survey software Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-the-field surveys for topography, boundaries, control, and staking.
• Review data for accuracy and compliance with specs.
• Operate Trimble GNSS/Base/Rover and robotic total stations.
• Support engineers with data processing and CAD drafting.
• Maintain field notes and project records.
