Job summary

Thompson Engineering seeks a Professional Land Surveyor to lead surveying activities for civil and marine projects. You will guide field crews, prepare survey plans and contracts, and represent the company with regulatory agencies.

Travel to support the Survey department and provide testimony when required. A state license and seven years of verifiable surveying experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Seven years of verifiable surveying experience.
• State license required for the state where work is performed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and comprehend measurements.
• Intermediate math skills including trigonometry and coordinate geometry.
• Excellent communication with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of office and field tasks associated with land surveying, civil engineering and marine engineering projects.
• Prepares proposals and contracts for land surveying.
• Consults with clients.
• Oversees all surveying aspects of civil and marine engineering projects, and prepares all types of survey plans.
• Provides Land Court and trial testimony on behalf of the company.
