Job summary

Expand Energy seeks a senior Land Manager to lead a team of landmen and provide strategic direction within the Exploration Team. You will oversee leasing strategies across multiple states and basins, and coordinate with geology, engineering, and operations to meet drilling goals.

The role requires extensive knowledge of land management, oil and gas laws, and experience negotiating leases. Bachelor's degree is required, with advanced degrees preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required.
• Preferred: Energy Management or related field.
• Preferred: Juris Doctorate or CPL.
• Experience in oil and gas land management and leasing is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement exploration leasing and acquisition strategies across multiple states and basins.
• Supervise negotiations, acquisition of oil and gas leases, and contract preparation.
• Review and approve purchase and sale agreements, joint development and joint venture agreements.
• Notify management of ownership position, competitor activity, potential legal issues, or other matters via reports and meetings.
• Coordinate with geology, engineering, and operations to meet drilling goals and deadlines.
• Supervise in-house and field landmen on exploration projects.
• Participate in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions.
