Job summary

The City of Johns Creek seeks a Land Development Inspector II to inspect construction sites for compliance with approved plans, permits, and regulations in areas such as grading, drainage, stormwater, erosion and sediment control, and infrastructure.

You will review development plans, identify violations, investigate complaints, and coordinate corrective actions with developers, contractors, and City staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six years of experience in soil erosion and sedimentation control, construction site inspection, and plan interpretation.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Inspect land development sites for compliance with plans, permits, and regulations.
• Conduct inspections for grading, drainage, stormwater, erosion, and infrastructure.
• Review development plans and construction documents before and during inspections.
• Identify violations, investigate complaints, and coordinate corrective actions with developers and contractors.
• Perform MS4 inspections of stormwater ponds and related infrastructure.
• Prepare inspection reports and enforcement documents with City staff and the public.
