Job summary

VHB's Land Development group in Vermont is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead site/civil engineering for a diverse portfolio including ski resorts, real estate, energy, and infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and landscape architects to deliver sustainable designs.

Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff, managing project scope and budgets, preparing permitting documents, and coordinating with clients and regulatory

Qualifications

• ABET/Civil Engineering degree with PE license required.
• 11+ years of professional site/civil design experience in consulting/private sector.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD; GIS experience a plus.
• PE license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead site/civil engineering for public and private projects, focusing on sustainability and resiliency.
• Develop grading, drainage, utility design, and site layout for diverse projects.
• Prepare design criteria, drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Lead permitting and coordination with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and manage project financials.
• Attend meetings to discuss client needs and design/permitting issues.
• Prepare technical and design reports.
• Coordinate with integrated teams of engineers, environmental scientists, and landscape architects.
