Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, LP is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to oversee development projects from planning to construction across markets. You will coordinate vendors, manage budgets, and ensure schedules align with plans and local codes.

The role requires 3–5 years in land development, CAD experience, OSHA 30, and strong communication skills. Travel to multiple sites and collaboration with Land Acquisition and Architecture teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 35 years in land development design and/or land development.
• Experience with CAD is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• Stormwater certifications are required.
• Valid drivers license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to interact with vendors and municipal authorities.

Responsibilities

• Travel between job sites to inspect progress and validate work.
• Manage trade partners to execute development work per budget and schedule.
• Proactively resolve issues to keep development projects on-time and on-budget.
• Secure final tract/plat acceptance by municipalities and agencies and ensure compliance with codes.
• Partner with sub-contractors to prepare bid packages, contracts, change orders, and invoices.
