Job summary

The City of Riverside is seeking an Engineering Manager for Land Development to lead the City Engineering Services Division within the Public Works Department. The incumbent will plan, supervise, and manage professional engineering work across development review, plan checking, and permitting, coordinating with multiple departments and outside agencies to advance municipal infrastructure projects.

The role is non-classified, exempt, and at-will.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Civil Engineer license in California.
• Master's Degree in civil engineering or related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and participate in the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures for Land Development Division.
• Plan, organize, supervise, and manage staff responsible for development review, plan checking, permitting, and related activities.
• Oversee review and processing of private development projects and public improvements to ensure compliance and timelines.
