Job summary

CPH in San Juan, Puerto Rico is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Land Development to lead major land development projects and manage permitting processes for Puerto Rico highway authorities.

The ideal candidate will hold a PE license in Puerto Rico, have 10+ years of land development experience, and demonstrate strong regulatory, stakeholder, and project-management skills to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering (ABET accredited).
• 5+ years of engineering experience in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; or ability and commitment to obtain licensure within one year of hire.
• Experience with land development and permitting processes in Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

• Permitting coordination for highways, bridges, and public works.
• Regulatory compliance with zoning and land development regulations in Puerto Rico.
• Stakeholder engagement with PRHTA, municipalities, and agencies.
• Oversee project lifecycle from concept through delivery, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
• Mentorship and guidance to junior engineers on permitting processes.
