Job summary

JCG Land Services seeks a Senior Right of Way Agent to support power development, transportation, and infrastructure projects across the Midwest. You will negotiate land acquisitions, provide relocation assistance, and review legal descriptions while coordinating access for construction and maintenance.

You will work with landowners, clients, and project teams to secure property rights, conduct market research, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of right-of-way acquisition experience.
  • Experience with WIDOT, relocation assistance, and/or appraisal support.

Senior Right of Way Agent (Full-Time)

JCG Land Services is seeking an experienced Senior Right of Way Agent to support power development, transportation, and infrastructure projects throughout the Midwest. In this role, you'll play a key part in securing property rights, negotiating land acquisitions, supporting appraisal and relocation efforts, and helping deliver projects that strengthen communities and essential infrastructure.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Right of Way Agent, you'll work directly with landowners, clients, and project teams to facilitate successful infrastructure development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate complex land acquisitions, easements, and leases
  • Provide relocation assistance and support
  • Prepare and review legal descriptions
  • Conduct sales and market research
  • Collaborate with Document and Title Specialists
  • Evaluate and negotiate crop, property, and damage claims
  • Coordinate property access for construction and maintenance activities
  • Maintain accurate parcel, ownership, and project records
  • Mentor and support acquisition team members
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with landowners and stakeholders
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of right-of-way acquisition experience
  • Experience with WIDOT, relocation assistance, and/or appraisal support
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight 2–3 days per week
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ability to obtain Notary Public designation
Preferred Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in:
