This entry to mid‑level position requires 1–3 years of experience reviewing title work, landowner acquisition, permitting, and related real estate tasks. The ideal candidate understands local, state, and federal statutory requirements for voluntary and eminent domain land acquisitions and real estate permitting, especially on electric transmission and/or oil and gas linear acquisition projects. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
This position resides in our Energy, Infrastructure, and Real Estate Division and supports right‑of‑way acquisition, land leasing, permitting, and construction support for oil, gas, wind, solar, and transmission projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Steigerwaldt offers a remote‑friendly hybrid work model. The Right‑of‑Way Agent – Wisconsin position is primarily remote and does not require frequent office presence. Candidates local to Central Wisconsin are strongly preferred; however, remote work across the United States is required, with a primary focus on Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota. The role is roughly 75% field work and 25% office work.
Compensation commensurate with experience.
