Job summary

UpSela Talent Solutions Inc. is seeking a hands-on Senior Micro-Segmentation LAN Network Engineer to design, implement, and support secure enterprise LAN infrastructure in Plano, TX.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, Cisco IOS/ACI expertise, and high-availability design. It is a contract-to-hire position with hybrid onsite collaboration and up to 10% travel.

You will work with IT, cybersecurity, and operations to translate requirements into secure network architectures and policies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive network engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise LAN/WAN networking and micro-segmentation.
• Hands-on with Cisco IOS, Cisco ACI, and Catalyst Center/DNAC.
• Experience with VLANs, routing, switching, redundancy, and secure connectivity.
• Ability to translate requirements into network architectures and policies.
• Excellent documentation, troubleshooting, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of enterprise LAN micro-segmentation solutions.
• Translate business and security requirements into network architectures and access policies.
• Configure and support Cisco IOS, ACI, and Catalyst Center/DNAC.
• Implement VLANs, routing, switching, wireless, and network access controls.
• Design for security, reliability, redundancy, and high availability.
• Troubleshoot complex connectivity, segmentation, routing, and access-control issues.
• Provide escalation support and coordinate incident resolution with teams and vendors.
• Support deployment planning, testing, cutovers, and handovers.
• Maintain network diagrams, standards, and documentation.
• Mentor local IT and support teams on Cisco technologies and troubleshooting.
