Job summary

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in a technical engineering field or BS with equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years in software development for machine control using LabVIEW.
• Strong analytical abilities and physics-domain knowledge.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW GUI and time-critical applications.
• Experience in object-oriented development and hardware control software.
• Experience setting up small business network configurations and Windows/Linux systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; self-motivated and delivery-focused.

Responsibilities

• Scope and design software architecture for an electron beam microscope based metrology tool.
• Research and prototype algorithms for tool control; develop calibration and diagnostics.
• Support control software activities: design, installation, troubleshooting and testing.
• Mentor team members on architecture components.
• Manage internal/external engineering resources to progress the project.
• Develop machine control software for semiconductor capital equipment.
• Write machine control software in LabVIEW.
• Develop higher-level automation and GUI.
• Work from technical specifications to develop and document code.
• Implement intuitive slick GUI.
• IT/Infra: manage lab IT infrastructure, servers, PCs, networked devices.
• System administration (Windows/Linux), backups, software installations.
• Support equipment connectivity, security, and data storage configurations.
• Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and tools.
