Job summary

Biodesix is seeking a Laboratory Technician III to support daily lab activities, perform clinical testing, and ensure accurate result generation using standard in-vitro techniques. You will work within a cross-functional matrix including Product Development, Customer Service, Quality, and other departments, contributing to input and Reviews in the Quality Management System.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology is required or equivalent training.
• Experience meeting CAP/CLIA/NYS CLEP requirements is preferred.
• Significant experience (4+ years) in a high complexity testing laboratory, including HPLC, LC-MS and/or ELISA, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes training and competency assessment for new and existing procedures.
• Takes responsibility for CE requirements per regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• Performs test realization functions in support of Biodesis products and services.
• Follows SOPs and documents actions thoroughly.
• Troubleshoots and documents corrective actions.
• Enters data into LIMS accurately and timely.
• Uploads data to the Customer Service team.
• Schedules and maintains laboratory equipment and calibration per SOPs.
• Contributes to the creation and revision of SOPs, protocols and reports within the QMS.
• Maintains good documentation for internal audit readiness.
• Performs all functions in compliance with HIPAA.
• Contributes to development projects and maintains lab notebooks.
• Communicates effectively with on-site and remote teams.
• May supervise onboarding of new employees.
