Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of laboratory-based science experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to data accuracy and QA.
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced teams.
• Outstanding relationship-building and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite including SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert in the relevant scientific field for major programs or system development.
• Define and resolve system issues, perform analyses, and develop plans in the subject area.
• Support multicenter study planning and short-term testing to resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate technical consultation requests and drive satisfactory outcomes.
• Prepare analyses and recommendations for proper implementation of programs and systems.
• Support DHS-related lab operations by applying scientific expertise in complex systems.
• Provide technical review and recommendations on lab operation reports.
• Develop study plans and evaluate data for lab process improvements.
• Consult with Biodetection labs on QA audits and corrective actions.
• Review SOPs and QA programs; update as needed.
• Perform expert functions supporting major programs or system development.
• Coordinate and manage analysis/evaluation preparations for proper program implementation.
• Triage shared laboratory operations inbox and manage meetings; travel as required.
