Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Fort Collins seeks an experienced Lab Support leader to manage daily operations and align with department and organizational goals. The role is onsite with a full-time schedule (80 hours per pay period) and days shift.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with medical offices and external labs. A MT/MLS certification and licensure, plus 2 years of related experience with 1 year in supervision, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and graduate of an accredited MT or MLS program.
• Certification as MT/MLS by AMT/ASCP or ASCP subtype certification; state licensure if required.
• 2 years of related experience with 1 year supervisory.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily operations of the department or area to align with objectives.
• Develop departmental goals, standards and objectives supporting the organizational plan.
• Supervises staff including performance management, scheduling, payroll and student engagements.
• Monitor budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts and vendor relations; justify needs for supplies/equipment.
• Assess service quality and coordinate with staff, medical offices and external labs; act as Director in absence.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision.
