The City of New Haven is seeking a Senior Labor Relations Counsel to independently manage and lead complex labor relations, collective bargaining, and litigation matters.

This position involves advising senior leadership on union relations and representing the City in various legal forums. Qualified candidates will possess a law degree and substantial experience in public sector labor relations, particularly in negotiations and litigation.

Salary range is $79,023 – $138,012 with additional benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of experience in public sector labor relations.
• Lead role in labor contract negotiations.
• Experience in litigation at the Superior Court level.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiator in collective bargaining for labor contracts.
• Advise City officials on labor relations matters.
• Represent the City in labor practice complaints and litigation.
