Job summary

gpac is seeking a Senior Labor & Employment Attorney with 5+ years of California L&E experience to join a respected firm in a leadership-capable role. The position supports complex employment litigation, with FEHA and class action exposure, and offers flexible remote or hybrid work across California.

Ideal candidates will handle disputes from intake through resolution, work directly with clients and opposing counsel, and have a track record in business development for potential growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of California Labor & Employment litigation experience
• Plaintiff and Defense candidates are considered
• Active California Bar membership in good standing
• Strong experience with employment litigation, including FEHA and wrongful termination matters
• Class action and/or PAGA experience strongly preferred
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage matters while working effectively with a team
• Strong client-service skills and professional judgment
• Experience with advice and counseling, workplace investigations, handbooks, policies, and compliance matters is a plus

Responsibilities

• Managing complex employment litigation from inception through resolution
• Handling FEHA, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination matters
• Working on class action and PAGA litigation
• Drafting and arguing dispositive and other substantive motions
• Taking and defending depositions
• Managing discovery and interacting directly with opposing counsel
• Participating in mediations, hearings, and trials
• Conducting legal research and developing litigation strategy
• Advising clients on employment-related issues as needed
