Job summary

ARaymond Network in Michigan is seeking a senior Lab Technician to perform testing and calibration tasks in the lab. You will assist the Engineering Department, maintain calibration records, and coordinate equipment calibrations to ensure data integrity and compliance with safety guidelines.

The role requires 7+ years of lab experience, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with Thermotron and Instron equipment. Occasional travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 7+ years in a lab technician role.
• Basic machine electrical and hydraulic skills required.
• Experience in testing and calibration procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to use lab equipment (Thermotron, Instron, etc.).
• Knowledge of test procedures and requirements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for independent work.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab tests to produce reliable data for investigations (load, insertion/extraction, torque, etc.).
• Conduct testing to resolve internal and customer quality issues.
• Develop testing plans per DVP&R including PV and DV testing.
• Maintain Calibration Database.
• Schedule equipment calibration per procedures.
• Manage lab supplies and order equipment as needed.
• Document inspection and test results per procedures.
• Assist Engineering to improve department integrity.
• Maintain HAZCOM logs and audits; comply with OSHA and corporate requirements.
• Maintain 5S standards in lab.
• Travel to customer or supplier sites as required.
• Work with outside vendors.
• Handle incoming chemicals per HAZCOM protocols; ensure compliance.
• Other duties/projects as assigned.
