Job summary

Chemours is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to join the Titanium Technologies Ore Technology team at the Discovery Hub in Newark, Delaware. The role supports process improvement and development of new TiO2-related methods, including neutralization, filtration, drying, and wet chemistry.

You will safely conduct lab experiments, operate and troubleshoot equipment, prepare samples, and maintain records for the project team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with +2 years relevant lab experience.
• Hands-on chemistry/R&D lab experience with safe chemical handling.
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft applications, and data capture/documentation systems.
• Self-motivation with ownership of tasks in independent or team settings.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs and move containers safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely execute laboratory work involving pumping, weighing, mixing, and heating hazardous chemicals in chemical process experiments.
• Assemble, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot lab-scale process equipment used for experiments with solids, liquids, and slurries.
• Prepare samples and coordinate submissions to internal and external laboratories for testing and analysis.
• Collect, organize, and maintain accurate records of data and observations for communication with the project team.
