Job summary

The Chemours Company in Newark, Delaware, is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to join the Titanium Technologies Ore Technology team at the Discovery Hub. Lead responsibilities include improving processes and developing new TiO2-related methods, with guidance from lab supervisors and principal investigators.

Responsibilities include safe handling of hazardous chemicals, equipment operation, data collection, and coordinating with laboratories.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with +2 years relevant experience in a laboratory using chemicals.
• Hands-on chemistry or R&D lab experience with safe handling of chemicals.
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft applications, and data capture/documentation software.

Responsibilities

• Safely execute lab work with pumping, weighing, mixing and heating hazardous chemicals.
• Assemble, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot lab-scale process equipment for solids, liquids and slurries.
• Prepare samples and coordinate testing with internal and external labs.
• Collect, organize and maintain data records for project communication.
